If any of you have ever been to Arby's and tried their
Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich and loved it.
Then this is the recipe for YOU.
I put my own twist on it to get my kids to eat it, now they LOVE it!
I make it minus the pecans, since my kids aren't big on nuts.
This is so simple it's hard to screw it up.
Lets get started. What your going to need

Then this is the recipe for YOU.
I put my own twist on it to get my kids to eat it, now they LOVE it!
I make it minus the pecans, since my kids aren't big on nuts.
This is so simple it's hard to screw it up.
Lets get started. What your going to need
1 bag salad macaroni
2 Bags Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips
1 small jar of Mayonnaise
peeled & diced Apple(s) (I used a Gala)
Red Grapes halved
Celery diced
The nice thing about this recipe is you can use as much or as little of the apple, grapes, and celery
as you and your family want, play with it to see what you like.
First put a pot of water on to boil, so you can cook your pasta.
While waiting for your water to boil and your pasta to cook.
Core and peel your apple. Cut into wedges and dice/chunks.
Halve your grapes. And dice up your Celery.
Open your chicken strips and cut into bite size pieces.
Drain & run cold water over your pasta. Make sure you let it drain really well.
In a bowl place your pasta, chicken, apple, celery, & grapes.
Now add your whole jar of mayonnaise to the bowl.
Now give it a real good stir, its going to look real wet, like you put to much mayonnaise in it.
But I assure you, you didn't. The pasta is going to soak up part of the mayonnaise.
Now I set my Chicken Salad in the fridge for a good hour or so. Let all the flavors come out and mix together. The longer it sets the better it is!!
Before serving make sure you get it another good stir after coming out of the fridge, because the juices that come out of the apples and grapes will settle to the bottom. You wanna make sure its mix good so all the flavors and all thru your salad. And it won't look so dry as pictured.
Now SERVE and ENJOY!
I paired mine with a Turkey Burger this night!
